Bankworks is a web scraping API and AI-assisted business research service operated from France. For questions or requests about personal data, contact support@bankworks.info.
Data we handle
- Account and support data: name or team name, email address, optional company name, account credentials in protected form, verification and support messages.
- API and browser-job data: URLs, request options and headers or bodies you submit, browser-session information, fetched page HTML, screenshots, task status, errors and results. Do not submit secrets or personal data unless you have the right and a lawful basis to do so.
- Business-research data: business names, addresses, countries and other details you submit, plus the resulting research JSON and source references.
- Usage and security records: API/account identifiers, request path, timestamp, response status and duration, IP address, browser user-agent, payment and subscription status, and records needed to detect abuse and resolve disputes. We do not store your raw API key in the request audit.
- Payment data: PayPal processes payment credentials. Bankworks receives transaction and subscription information needed to credit balances, provide paid access, support refunds and maintain accounting records. Card details entered in PayPal-hosted fields are sent to PayPal, not to Bankworks.
Why we use the data
We use data to create and secure accounts, authenticate API requests, run browser jobs and research tasks, return results, calculate usage and subscriptions, provide support, prevent fraud or abusive use, maintain service reliability, and meet legal obligations.
Depending on the activity, our legal basis is performing the service contract with you, our legitimate interests in securing and improving the service and preventing abuse, your consent where required, or compliance with a legal obligation such as accounting and tax recordkeeping.
How data is processed and shared
Submitted URLs and job instructions are sent to our browser workers and, when enabled, configured infrastructure and object-storage providers so the requested job can run and its artifacts can be returned. AI-assisted research submissions are processed through a browser interacting with Google AI Mode and relevant public web pages; information you submit may therefore be sent to Google and the websites visited for that research. Requests may pass through the network egress or proxy provider configured for the selected worker.
We also use service providers for hosting, database and queue infrastructure, object storage, email delivery, bot protection and payment processing. These providers receive only the information needed for their service. PayPal handles payment processing; Google reCAPTCHA may be used on public forms when enabled. We do not sell personal data.
Depending on the worker, network route and provider selected for a request, data may be processed outside your country or the European Economic Area. Contact us if you need information about the provider and transfer arrangements relevant to your account.
Retention
Job records and JSON results are retained according to the job's result time-to-live. HTML and screenshots are retained according to the configured artifact-retention period and may be deleted earlier when the associated job expires. API security logs and completed browser-session records have configured retention periods. Account, payment, subscription and accounting records are kept while needed to provide the service and thereafter for applicable legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed, subject to those requirements.
Cookies and security
The account portal uses cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect account actions. Public forms may load Google reCAPTCHA when enabled. PayPal-hosted payment components may use PayPal technologies on payment pages. We do not use advertising cookies for behavioral advertising.
We apply access controls and technical safeguards appropriate to the service, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability for your personal data, and may complain to your data-protection authority. Contact support@bankworks.info. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information we are legally required to keep.
If you use Bankworks to collect personal data from websites, you are responsible for establishing a lawful basis, providing required notices and honoring individuals' rights for that collection. Where Bankworks processes that page content only on your instructions, you remain responsible for your role as controller.
Children
Bankworks is a business service and is not intended for children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. The current version and its effective date will be posted on this page.
